Boat Master is built around practice, engineering thinking, and respect for seamanship. The Logbook is not a content funnel and not a marketing blog. It is a place where we document how people have learned to understand the sea – through limits, mistakes, tools, and experience. For that reason, we are selective about partnerships.
What Partnerships Mean to Us
We work with partners whose work genuinely overlaps with the subjects we write about: navigation and seamanship, maritime safety, training and education, tools and equipment used in practice, charts, books, and reference material. A partnership does not mean promotional copy or sales-driven messaging. If a partner is mentioned, it is because their work adds technical context or practical insight to the subject being discussed. Sponsored content is always clearly marked.
What We Do Not Do To be explicit:
• no pop-ups • no automated ad networks
• no paid product placement disguised as opinion
• no generic “brand exposure”
If something does not fit naturally into the Logbook, it does not belong there.
Formats of Collaboration
Partnerships typically take one of the following forms:
• a clearly marked sponsor note within an article
• support for a specific Logbook topic or article series
• long-term support of the Logbook as a whole
In all cases, sponsorship remains lightweight and readable. The article itself stays editorially independent.
Who This Is For
Partnerships may be a good fit if you work in:
• maritime equipment, navigation, or systems
• sailing education or offshore training
• marine safety or communications
• publishing or technical documentation
• tools used by sailors, skippers, or crews
If your work requires explanation rather than slogans, we will likely understand each other.
Get in Touch
If you believe there is a natural overlap, please contact us with a short explanation of what you do and why it fits the Logbook. We read everything. We do not rush decisions.
