Partnerships
Boat Master is built around practice, engineering thinking, and respect for seamanship.
The Logbook is not a content funnel and not a marketing blog. It is a place where we document how people learned to understand the sea - through limits, mistakes, tools, and real experience.
Because of that, we are selective about partnerships.
What partnerships mean to us
We occasionally work with partners whose work genuinely overlaps with the topics we write about: navigation and seamanship, maritime safety, training and education, tools and equipment that are used in practice, books, charts, and reference material.
A partnership does not mean promotional copy or sales-driven messaging. If a partner is mentioned, it is because their product, service, or work is relevant to the subject of the article and adds context or practical value. Sponsored content is always clearly marked.
What we do not do
To be explicit: no pop-ups, no automated ad networks, no paid product placement disguised as opinion, no generic “brand exposure”. If something does not fit naturally into the Logbook, it does not belong there.
Format of collaboration
Partnerships usually take one of the following forms: a clearly marked sponsor note within an article, support of a specific Logbook topic or series, long-term support of the Logbook as a whole. We keep sponsorship lightweight and readable. The article itself remains independent.
Who this is for
Partnerships may be a good fit if you work in: maritime equipment or navigation, sailing education or offshore training, marine safety or communications, publishing or technical documentation, tools used by sailors, skippers, or crews. If your work requires explanation rather than slogans, we will probably understand each other.
Get in touch
If you believe there is a natural overlap, you can reach us using the form below.
Please include a short explanation of what you do and why you think it fits the Logbook. We read everything, but we do not rush decisions.
Thank you!
