Collection: Navigation Buoys

Navigation buoys are floating markers that guide sailors through waterways, marking channels, hazards and safe passages.

Their bold shapes and bright colors carry essential meaning - forming a visual language of safety at sea.

The world follows the IALA buoyage system, divided into:
- Region A (Europe, Africa, most of Asia): red buoys mark the port (left) side of the channel when entering from the sea, and green mark the starboard (right) side.
- Region B (Americas, Japan, Korea, Philippines): the colors are reversed - red marks starboard, green marks port.

Sailor’s note: The tallest navigation buoy in the world stands in the North Sea off the coast of Germany - it’s about 16 meters high, nearly the height of a 5-story building!
